A Training & Development Firm

Develop Your People.
Strengthen Your Programs.

The LifeGrooming Company designs, builds, and delivers identity-centered training programs and curricula for nonprofits, community organizations, and educational institutions.

Organizations build systems.
We develop the people inside them.

Most training programs focus on skills and information. They teach people what to do. What they can't account for is why people don't do it — even when they know how.

The LifeGrooming Company approaches every program, curriculum, and training engagement from the inside out. We call it identity-centered development: the belief that lasting behavioral change, genuine leadership growth, and community transformation happen when people understand who they are first. That foundation shapes everything we build and every room we walk into.

What We Do

01

Training Design & Facilitation

We come in. We deliver. Your people leave different.

We design and facilitate workshops, cohort programs, and training series built around your population and your outcomes. Every session is developed with your organization's context, culture, and goals in mind — not dropped in from a generic playbook.

02

Program Development

We build it. You own it. It runs long after we're gone.

We design the framework, develop all materials, and deliver a complete, branded, ready-to-run program your team can own and operate independently — built to professional educational standards from the ground up.

03

Organizational Strategy & Consulting

Strategic. High-touch. Built around where you're going.

For leaders who need more than a training program. We assess where you are, identify your development gaps, and build a roadmap for where you're going — with the engagement depth to see it through alongside you.

Built for organizations doing meaningful work.

01

Nonprofits & Community Organizations

Organizations doing workforce development, youth development, violence prevention, re-entry, community stabilization, and human services work. You need programs that develop the whole person, not just check compliance boxes.

02

Faith-Based Institutions

Churches, ministries, and faith-led community organizations that need structured training, leadership development curricula, and facilitated cohorts that are aligned with their values and built to last.

03

Educational Institutions

Schools, districts, BOCES, and educational nonprofits that need curriculum development, professional development programming, or structured learning frameworks — backed by NYS licensure and educator credentialing.

04

Growing Businesses & Emerging Organizations

You have the vision, the drive, and the momentum — but the systems, training infrastructure, and program structure haven't caught up yet. We help you build the organizational foundation that matches where you're going.

"Most training teaches people what to do. The reason it doesn't stick is that people don't see themselves as the person the training is talking to."

J. Kyle Owens founded The LifeGrooming Company on a simple but powerful insight: lasting change — in people, in organizations, in communities — starts with identity. That conviction now drives every program the firm builds and every room it walks into.
